Eligibility of Clubs and their Players to compete in the
Fann Cup tournament will be determined through
discussion between the Captains and Coaches of Clubs who
have been approved to compete in the Fann Cup
Tournament.
Notwithstanding any decisions made by committee of Club
Officials prior to the 2005 Fann Cup, the current
eligibility requirements are summarized below:
i.
All
players must be older than the age of majority (Ontario,
19 years and older), based on
the national, state/provincial, or municipal laws in
effect in the host city.
Each Club shall be
permitted a number (currently two) of waivers to allow
minority aged players to participate.
ii.
No
player who has played lacrosse professionally shall be
permitted to participate. For the purposes of this
tournament, Professional experience is defined as having
been a member of a Club from any of the following
lacrosse leagues: NLL, MLL, OLA Major League or Senior
“B” League, WLA Senior “A” League or Senior “B” League
A limited number of players who have played competitive

experience includes but is not limited to being a member
of a club from any of the following lacrosse leagues:
NCAA, OLA Junior “A” or Junior “B”, WLA Junior “A” or
“B”.

Not part of the rules, simply a
comment ...
Please
keep in mind ...
"old farts", "hacks" and people who have "never played"
are among those who fill out the rosters.
This tournament was started by people that otherwise
would never have gotten the chance to be in a
tournament.
We didn't start this so we could go out and chase kids
or semi pro players around. We look silly enough
without all that :)
